Now that the warmer weather looks like it has arrived in Lancaster, we can almost believe that summer will again come this year bringing with it the end of another school year, family vacations and summer camps and for us, our annual fundraiser, the Winning Smiles Family Golf Day. If you have never attended, you are missing a fun, family friendly event where just for the price of a ticket you can play mini-golf, enjoy a casual lunch and hang out playing eld games (for more information see p.6).
Rain or shine however, our care and treatment of our patients continues throughout the year. Patients like Keturah, featured in “Sta Spotlight” will be under- going life transforming surgery, while her sister, Lexi, a pediatric clinical assistant, will be working with our young patients. As Jean Hennen’s letter reminds us, what happens here at the Clinic, is not con ned to a summer or year or to one person, but impacts a family and a lifetime.
When I read the stories of all the people featured in this issue and re ect on all those people connected in some way with the Clinic, I can only continue to give thanks for them and for all of you. Know that your support is greatly appreciated and that it can be seen in the smiles this summer from patients, their families and sta .
